How Long Will It Take To Get A Flat Stomach

If you have been working out for your stomach doing 100-200 (good!) crunches a few days a week, but see no difference really, what’s wrong then.Why nothing seems to work. No matter how many calories you lose, none seem to come from your stomach. Will your belly eventually flatten out? How long will it take?

Diet is VERY important! Not only that, I believe ( I have seen it on myself, I’m 39, 127lbs) eating right is basic. Eat 4-5 small meals a day. Reduce starches, sugars, etc. Diet is 80 percent of any weightloss program.
When you make your lunch just divide it into two meals. Eat one at regular lunch time and then one about 3 hrs later. Eat smaller portions overall. Lots of veggies. Lean protein.
All of these will help flatten your stomach.

30 Day Shred by TV’s Top Trainer Jillian Michaels is an absolute butt-kicker workout DVD in 3 levels. It is like having a personal trainer. It is really easy to follow the workout but it’s not really dance moves. Understand your limits and listen to your body, but be willing to push yourself. Very challenging.

The DVD is in 3 levels. You’ll need weights for this workout.

The first level is the easiest to start with. Do one of three 20 minute workouts on that DVD every day for 30 days. I find the 30 day Shred to be extremely easy to follow, Jillian introduces a move and you do it for 40-50 seconds before switching. Jillian moves quickly to keep your heart rate up so if you’re tired, you can fall behind.

Level 2 is very difficult. If you are sitting all day long in office then after several times throughout the workout you’ll cry out in pain. Ladies over 50 and almost 100lbs overweight can do that, so you’ll too!

Level 3 keeps your intensity up. Get to level three, stay there and do all the advanced moves and buy dumbbells.

 

So, Can I Lose Weight?

The moves are very old school and simple but effective and you can lose up to 20 pounds in a short time. The workout will tighten your body up fast, but you probably won’t lose much weight unless you also cut back on what you eat.

If you have been doing this Jillian Michael’s 30 day Shred for a couple of months and havent seen any weight loss, start eating right. Check with your heart rate monitor how much calories you burn. If you think you should be losing more weight on Level 1, you can try the DVD with other cardio exercise so that you end up burning 500-1000 calories a day and lose more.
You’ll lose even more if go on a “cleanse” while doing this video. You can also gain some weight during the workout but it is a muscle mass as your body changes and gets fit fast.

 

What Do You Do After The 30 Days?

After you did level 1 for 30 days, you’ll be moving to level 2 for 30 days and then finishing with level 3. Then you’ll do 1, 2, 3 and keep rotating for 30 days to keep you body toned and in a great shape.

It’s basically what you like more and whatever works for you. I’m not doing the same thing every day. It is great to rotate several DVDs for maximum effect and enjoy more different workouts. If you’re serious about working out from home, invest in a few dvds to keep it fresh.
Jillian’s No More Trouble Zones works all the major sets of muscles and is great for arms too. It is a good sculpting DVD.
