The exercise described is one option; second would be similar as this one, the difference is that you raise your legs about 15 centimeters from the ground.

The third exercise would be “making circles” with legs (body position is the same as described in video)… the fourth option for exercise is left and right, or up and down scissor kick.
10 repetitions and 2-3 sets for each exercise.
Choose 4 or 5 exercises for beginning and then gradually add more repetitions or additional set of repetitions or additional abdominal exercise.

Side Abdominals Exercise

This exercise is great for your abdominal muscles, especially to your side abdominals. It’s one of the best abs exercise. 20 repetitions each day, and combine with other abdominal exercises.

Foods That Burn Belly Fat

It does matter what or how much you eat. So, watch what you eat!

For dramatic weight loss, you will need to implement cardio. I would suggest maybe some running, situps and crunches. Also, exercise first thing in the morning, before you eat so your body’s burning calories that are already stored up as fat.

I guarentee if you do 2 sets of 25 crunches a day your stomach will be perfectly flat. You could even do 2 sets of 15 a day and they would still look good.

If you run everyday in the morning or in the evening for 30 minutes and then exercises 1X a day in the morning or evening doing exercises on your back to tighten up your stomach muscles that will also help.

Get an hour of aerobic exercise per day. Aerobic exercises burn the most fat. Running, walking hills or stairs, dancing, biking, ellipetical, spinning, jumprope, etc  its all good.

Do cardiovascular training with no weights and it’ll tone up your belly in no time! Just get off the couch and do something!


I would definitely recommend rowing if looking for a decent cardio workout.

Diet is VERY important! Not only that, I believe ( I have seen it on myself, I’m 39, 127lbs) eating right is basic. Eat 4-5 small meals a day. Reduce starches, sugars, etc. Diet is 80 percent of any weightloss program.
When you make your lunch just divide it into two meals. Eat one at regular lunch time and then one about 3 hrs later. Eat smaller portions overall. Lots of veggies. Lean protein.
All of these will help flatten your stomach.

I find the 30 day Shred to be extremely easy to follow, Jillian introduces a move and you do it for 40-50 seconds before switching. Jillian moves quickly to keep your heart rate up so if you’re tired, you can fall behind.

Level 2 is very difficult. If you are sitting all day long in office then after several times throughout the workout you’ll cry out in pain. Ladies over 50 and almost 100lbs overweight can do that, so you’ll too!

Level 3 keeps your intensity up. Get to level three, stay there and do all the advanced moves and buy dumbbells.


So, Can I Lose Weight?

The moves are very old school and simple but effective and you can lose up to 20 pounds in a short time. The workout will tighten your body up fast, but you probably won’t lose much weight unless you also cut back on what you eat.

If you have been doing this Jillian Michael’s 30 day Shred for a couple of months and havent seen any weight loss, start eating right. Check with your heart rate monitor how much calories you burn. If you think you should be losing more weight on Level 1, you can try the DVD with other cardio exercise so that you end up burning 500-1000 calories a day and lose more.
You’ll lose even more if go on a “cleanse” while doing this video. You can also gain some weight during the workout but it is a muscle mass as your body changes and gets fit fast.


What Do You Do After The 30 Days?

After you did level 1 for 30 days, you’ll be moving to level 2 for 30 days and then finishing with level 3. Then you’ll do 1, 2, 3 and keep rotating for 30 days to keep you body toned and in a great shape.
